General Description
As the leader in the field of Chinese pellet engineering and technology, Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as BSIET) with its complete technical equipment shall, by way of the optimized proposal, be willing to provide the customers in the world with such services as consultation, design, general contract, technical equipment manufacture and management in pellet engineering. With a rich experience of the design and construction of grate-kiln pellet production lines, recently, 20 users at home and abroad have been provided with almost 30 sets of design and renovation project for pellet production line. The annual capacity of pellet production is over 40,000,000t.
Leading the Chinese pelletizing technologies to progress and by way of close integration of the production practice, BSIET has creatively developed and applied many significant new technologies that have become the proprietary pelletizing technologies with company characteristics and establish a pellet laboratory of its own.
BSIET, in 2000, was the first to successfully develop the travelling grate-rotary kiln-annular cooler pelletizing technology that filled the blank of large-scale pelletizing technology in China and designed, built up in China the first 1.2MTPA travelling grate- kiln-annular cooler pellet production line that was awarded the 1st prize of the national metallurgical science and technology.
In 2006, BSIET completed engineering of the first grate-kiln-annular cooler with all-hematite material for a customer in India, which was put into production in 2008.
In 2008, cooperating with foreign companies, BSIET completed the design of the first 4.00MTPA straight grate pelletizing production line in China, which was put into production in August 2010.
Superior Technology
BSIET owns many patent technologies and proprietary technologies of non-standard equipment for the pellet production, for instance, semi-suspension driving support technology, flexible grate bed technology, protection device on head of traveling grate, scrapper technology, automatic resetting and detecting devices of grate plates, replaceable pad technology for rotary kiln, protection ring technology at discharge end and charge end of rotary kiln, feeding hopper and lower sealing technologies for annular cooler, etc.
1) Flexible grate bed technology of travelling grate - National invention patent
Solve the desynchrony of multi-row chain link of grate bed and reduce the stress on chain link; Reduce the weight of key equipment parts and save the amount of heat-resistant steel.
2) Scraper of grate device - Proprietary technology
Adopt reasonable structure and entrance angle, high temperature oxidization resistance and wear-resisting materials to reduce the leakage quantity of scraper plate and extend its working life with an easy maintenance.
3) Changeable float type shim iron device of rotary kiln body - Effective protection of the body for easy installation and replacement
4) Rotary kiln hydraulic thrust roller technology – Automatically adjust the rotary kiln position and extend its working life
5) New grizzly for rotary kiln – Improve the working environment and extend its working life
Seamless steel pipe is adopted for all water lintels of this grizzly to avoid the fault that the grizzly is easily broken under high temperature using the previous type of steel plate welding, avoid the downtime caused by water leakage and reduce the maintenance workload at the same time.
6) Shuttle distributor dedicated for pellets - Proprietary technology
Optimize the distribution process, reduce the falling times of green balls and improve distribution effect. It has been successfully applied for the 504m2 straight grate induration machine project in Shougang Jingtang iron & steel plant with a good result.
7) Technology of sealing rubbers under annular cooler – Patent technology
With the advantages of simple structure, small friction coefficient, long working life, easy installation and maintenance, good sealing effect, etc. Friction plates are made of special wear-resistant material and fit against the rotary part by means of an elastic support to ensure a tight sealing on the sealing surface and effectively prevent the annular cooling blower from air leakage.
This device has been applied in the annular cooler of Jilin Tianchi mining pelletizing project for nearly 2 years, and the sealing effect is still very good, which has been praised by the owners and has been promoted at present.
8) Application of hydraulic motor
The hydraulic motor has characteristics of stable driving and reliable performance and can reach stepless speed regulation. Hydraulic motors are used to improve the starting characteristics and overload capacity, improve the pellet production line availability and reduce the maintenance workload.
9) Integrated technical equipment
Thermodynamic calculation and thermal balance of analysis travelling grate- kiln-annular cooler pellet production line
Process, design, test and equipment configuration of flux pellet production;
Process, design, test and equipment configuration and design and research of non-standard equipment of hematite pellet production;
Refractory design and research of pellet production line sections (travelling grate, rotary kiln, annular cooler and hot blast duct);
Large balling disc, such as φ7.0m, φ7.2m and φ7.5m is firstly developed and applied in the pellet production line.
Process layout and optimization and innovation of travelling grate building;
Innovation for the design of dedusting and dry and bulk material treatment inside the travelling grate building, and adopting new equipment and process arrangement;
Adopting inner blending fuel design and research for hematite pellet production process;
Waste heat recovery is adopted for pelleting annular cooler;
Thick phase pneumatic dust conveying is adopted for process and room dedusting inside the pellet plant.
Typical Project
BSIET firstly carried out the design and research of pelletizing production process technique by travelling grate machine cooperating with foreign company. Together with OUTOTEC, BSIET jointly design the 504m2 straight grate induration machine project in Shougang Jingtang iron & steel plant, which is the largest in China and enriches the pellet technical reserve of itself. This project has put into production smoothly at present.
The straight grate has the following technical characteristics:
The process flow of drying and preheating, indurating and cooling is carried out in one equipment, which is easy, reliable with easy operation and maintenance, high heat efficiency and big capacity of one unit.
It is particularly suit for pellet production with hematite raw material;
Multiple gas nozzles is used for preheating zone and induration zone for the accurate control of temperature and cleaning of main line environment;
The refractory of upper hood stay still with no direct connection with pellet, no mechanical wear, no rapid change of temperature and no hot crack, so as to reduce the dust load;
The pallet can be maintained off-line to reduce downtime and increase the availability;
The waste fume circulation of cooling zone returning to indurating zone and [preheating zone has less heat loss and lower operation cost.

Characteristic: With smooth process arrangement, it has large concentrate storehouse suitable for many raw materials, reasonable equipment configuration and ore fines grinding system is added to improve the quality of product pellet. The product storage adopts large steel structure silo.

Characteristics: A large straight grate induration machine production process is adopted and is characterized by good adaptability to the raw materials and high induration temperature, etc. The main production line is centralized with simple process and easy management.
